INSANITY X 100

By far, the wildest & craziest game I've played on this year's version of NCAA. We were up 24-4 after 4 mins, 31-0 & 52-14 before halftime, only to have to hold on late as Texas Tech came surging back with a 31 pt 2nd half. The teams combined for 118 pts, nearly 1300 yds of total offense and 50 1st downs. One team ran a total of 3 times vs. 50 passes, the other a much more balanced 37 runs to 31 passes. There were 2 defensive & 1 special team TD, ALL BEFORE THE END OF THE 1ST QTR! Each team was perfect in the redzone & on 4th down. Not to mention torrential downpour rain & 40 mph winds, in Texas no less. In short, it was 100 times more insane than last year's 48-43 win over Army.
In all fairness, I debated for a day on if I should keep this game or replay it to be more realistic. But in thinking about it, I came to the conclusion that this might have been one of the most realistic games I've ever played. As a big time college football fan & gambler, I can't count how many times (and especially a team like Texas Tech) gets down HUGE early. But their offense is so good, it plays into their style and they turn the game into a wild high scoring affair, slowly coming back & often times winning the game. A prime example, Michigan St-Northwestern last year. Michigan St was down like 40 at one point and down 3 TDs to start the 4th. Not only did they come back to win the game, but they also COVERED! And the game was run Sunday as an instant classic on ESPNCLASSIC. So I kept this game and now I get to write in stats for about an hour.
