In what was a defensive slugfest most of the game, had many big plays by both sides. Clemson on there opening possession drove down field and scored on a 12 yard james davis touchdown run. The very first play, LV Whitworth,hb, for bc took a draw play the distance for a 80 yard touchdown. Whitworth alluded 4 clemson defenders, one of which gaines adams layed on the ground crying for a couple minutes. Scored tied 7-7 at the end of the 1rst. Clemson punted at the start of the second. Once again the very first play of BC drive, LV Whiteworth took another draw play 80 yards. This time as Whitworth was going into the endzone, he started show boating. This is when SS Michael Hamlin tackled him from behind and caused a fumble into the endzone. Hamlin picked up the rock and returned it 27 yards. The big play did not help because BC shut clemson down and continued to score 10 points in the 2nd. Halftime 17-7. BC quickly scored a fg on its opening possession. Basically all clemson could do good today was punt. Well Jad Dean now holds the national record for the longest punt in a game of 62 yards. Clemson eventually got a fg in the 3rd to have a final score headed into the fourth of 20-10. With almost 3 minutes to go in the game clemson finally forced a 3 and out of bc(which they had only done 3 times the entire day). This drive was not what would be considered clemson football. Procter finally figured out how to read a defense. What ensued was a drive that included going for it on 4th down 3 times since the run game would lead to substantial losses on first down. in which they had to throw every down, but they picked it up every time, including the go ahead touchdown.

Clemson once again kicked off and caused a 3 and out on BC with about 1 minute 15 seconds to go. BC punted the ball and with a lucky bounce had clemson pinned into the 5 yard line.It was 3rd down and 9 at the 5 yard line because of a earlier penalty, no timeouts, and clock ticking, procter connected on a 26 yard corner route to reciever rendrick taylor, who procedded to make tacklers miss and take it the distance for a 95 yard touchdown(which is a national record for longest touchdown pass in history). Clemson had now taken a commanding lead 24-20. Clemson kicked off and made BC work. BC appeared to be intotal disaray having multiple penalties etc. There were 18 seconds left in the game, it was 4th and 12, and junior stud qb,Matt Ryan, decided to rest the game on his arm. A big arm it was because he threw a 50 yard bomb that landed softly in WR Callenders hands. There was BEDLAM IN BOSTON !

Clemson must pick itself up and prepare for another road trip to tallahassee next week, where coach bowden will meet his father for a ACC atlantic clash between Clemson and #18 FSU. Florida St is 1-1(with a loss to miami) coming off of a win vs Rice.
