2006 Week 10

The tigers headed into the maryland coming of a loss to vt. Maryland is 7-1 on the season and coming off a win vs Florida St. Starting center Dustin Fry(who happens to call all the audibles was suspended for slacking on his grade during the season for the 1rst half) Basically things did not look good headed into this matchup. The past two weeks quarterback will procter has been shakey and there was fear that losing this game would kiss away any dreams of a acc championship game. Wells things did not look good in the first quarter when james davis fumbled in the redzone 2 times. The score was 7-3 Maryland and Will Procter was once again not playing well. Then something funny happened. Will Procter got tackled and couldn't get up. He had a bruised sternum and was out for the game. What clemson fans witnessed in about 2 and 1/2 quarters was a unknown of tom brady proportians. Back up quarterback tribble reese ended up having 231 yards, 2 touchdowns, and passing completions of 42, 28, 50, 41. It was odvious that Reese had better touch on the deep ball than Procter who used more of a controlling type of offense. Star sensation James Davis got everything started though in the 2nd. He returned a kick off for touchdown and maryland never saw the lead again.
