2007 Week 14

Notre Dame (4-5) has a B offense, a B- defense, and is B overall. They are #26 in pts/gm, #18 in total offense, and #97 in total defense. We're #21 in pts/gm, #77 in total offense, and #1 in total defense.

ND QB#7 throws a 30 yard TD pass to WR#80. 7-0 Irish.

ND HB#3 runs over everyone in his path as defender refuse to tackle him on his way to a 77 yard TD run with :03 left in the half. 14-0 home team.

ND QB#7 throws an 8 yard TD pass to TE Rivera. 21-0. Ughh! KR Josh Brown returns the ensuing kickoff 103 yards for a TD. He celebrates. Of course the refs flag him. Kick is good anyway. 21-7. QB Brad Brown throws a 35 yard TD pass to WR Justin Bullocks. 21-14. ND QB#7 throws a 43 yard TD pass to WR#11 where the defender just refused to try to tackle the guy again. 28-14.

FB Mike Horner scores on a 1 yard TD plunge. 28-21. ND is stopped and they're forced to punt. An incompletion on 1st down brings up 2nd and 10. Again, ND comes out in the same blitz alignment. Audibles are called and QB Brown goes deep to WR Lance Henderson. He has it. He's going to score. The 20, the 10, the 5, oh no! Stopped at the two with over a minute and a half left in the game. First down run is stuffed. Second down run loses a yard. Third down run the offensive line misses a block and it brings up 4th and goal at the 6 with :09 left in the game. Brown drops back and rifles a pass toward his receiver. The defender knocks it down and that's your ballgame.

We were so close this game. QB Micah Craft on 4th and short at the ND 26 in the first quarter overthrew TE#89 on an out route. We had momentum at this point because of a turnover on the first play from scrimmage. He was later replaced and QB Brad Brown came in and done an adequate job. All I have to say is no more Craft. If we get a bowl game, QB Jason Schroeder will be back. If we don't, he's graduating and will be gone.
