2007 Week 8

Kent State (1-3) has a C- offense, a C- defense, and is C overall. They are #95 in pts/gm, #70 in total offense, and #23 in total defense. We're #10 in pts/gm, #49 in total offense, and #1 in total defense. Lets see how well we do the first game with our starting QB. To make matters worse than they already are, ROLB Pedro Myers will miss three games because he hasn't been attending mandatory workout sessions.

Kent HB#44 scores on a 1 yard TD run. 10-0 Flashers. Kent HB#44 runs one in from 37 yards. 17-0 Flashers. K Grant Williams ends the shutout with a 31 yard FG with 1:01 left in the first half. After a defensive hold, QB Micah craft goes deep for WR Lance Henderson. He comes up with the 40 yard TD reception with :07 left. 17-10. Kent WR#1 returns the ensuing kickoff 91 yards for the score. ARGGHHH!!!!

QB Craft hits WR Bryant Hancock on a 14 yard TD pass. 24-17 Flashers.

QB Craft pinpoints a pass to TE#89 for a 15 yard TD pass with 1:15 left in the game.

OT - Kent HB#44 runs one in from 25 yards. 31-24 Flashers. HB Maurice Mitchell answers when he goes 26 yards for a TD. 31-31 at the end of the first overtime.

OT#2 - We're held scoreless on three plays and we're on the 28. K Williams tells coach he can hit it. Coach sends him in. It's long enough, but wide right. On first down MLB Cole Edwards has a chance for the pick, but he drops it. Oh no! Three plays later Kent K Jones hits a 31 yard FG to win it. Ughh!

We had to have this game, but lost it. WR Lance Henderson was injured early in the third quarter and missed the remainder of the game.
