2008 Week 6

Navy (1-3) has a C offense, a C- defense, and is C overall. They are #116 in pts/gm, #104 in total offense, and #91 in total defense. We are #7 in pts/gm, #29 in total offense, and #2 in total defense. I'm sensing a serious beatdown in this one.

QB Derek McClain hits WR Justin Bullocks for a 21 yard TD pass. 7-0. FB Adam Lane goes in from a yard out. 14-0. Navy HB#47 goes in from a yard. 14-7.

Navy QB Ball hits WR Heard on a 36 yard FG where the defense was confused. 14-14. Navy K Hunter hits a 30 yard FG. 17-14, Naval Academy.

QB McClain hits TE#89 for a 15 yard TD pass. 21-17, Headbangers!

QB McClain throws a 35 yard TD pass to WR Lance Henderson. 28-17 with 3:52 to play. Navy QB Ball throws a 63 yard TD pass to HB#47 with 1:24 to play. They go for two and throw a pass to HB#47 for the conversion, 28-25. Metal drives down the field, but LT Jerrell Fellows who has had all kinds of trouble blocking gives up a sack which causes a fumble. Navy drives down the field quickly and QB Ball throws a 28 yard TD to WR Heard. 32-28 Navy with :23 left. On the first play, LT Fellows gives up another hit on the QB and the ball gets picked. Ball game.

This was just completely and utterly unacceptable. At least we get QB Jason Shroeder back next week.
