Game Notes

• The Wildcats were held under 100 yards rushing for the third straight game and sixth time this season. Coincidentally, Kansas State is 0-6 in those games.

• Freshman quarterback Josh Freeman returned from a broken finger to throw for 194 yards on 10-of-23 passing. Freeman also threw for two touchdowns and no interceptions.

• Freeman finished with 1,568 yards passing establishing a new freshman single-season school record (1,365 by Allen Evridge, 2005). The true freshman record was 895 by Darrell Dickey in 1979.

• Freeman's 13 touchdown passes tied him the 10th highest signge-season total in school history. (Michael Bishop, 1997)

• Senior tailback Thomas Clayton ran for 67 yards on 19 carries giving him 1,459 yards for the season, the third highest single-season total in school history. (Darren Sproles 1,986 in 2003 and 1,465 in 2002).

• Clayton's 16 rushing touchdowns tied him with three others for fourth highest single-season total in schooll history. His 222 carries rank as the ninth highest single-season total and his 6.5 yards-per-carry tie him for highest single season average (Darren Sproles, 2003).

• The Wildcats' 21 defensive interceptions tied a school record previously set in 1992 and tied in 1999.

• Yamon Figurs finished with a 23.3 average on kick returns, the ninth best single-season average in school history.

• Devin Anderson's first quarter safety on a sack of Kansas quarterback Kerry Meier was K-State's first safety of the season.

• The Wildcats blocked three Kansas extra point attempts, the first three blocks of any kind for the Kansas State special teams unit this season.
