Game Notes
- Freshman quarterback Josh Freeman posted his best game of the season, completing 15-of-20 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown. Freeman is now ranked second in the Big 12 in pass efficiency with a 148.5 rating behind Shawn Bell of Baylor (158.8) who is out for the season with a broken leg.
- Senior tailback Thomas Clayton rushed for over 100 yards for the fifth time in six games. The five 100-yard games in a season are tied for sixth most in school history (Darren Sproles 2004, Eric Hickson 1998 and Cornelius Davis 1966).
- Clayton current ranks third in the NCAA in rushing yards (929) and second in rushing touchdowns (13). Kenneth Darby of Alabama leads the nation in both categories (1172 and 14).
- Clayton leads the Big 12 in rushing yards, yards per game (154.8), yards per carry (8.6), touchdowns and 20-plus yard runs (12).
- Senior receiver Jordy Nelson established Wildcat season-highs with six receptions and 95 yards receiving.
- Senior receiver Yamon Figurs recorded a catch for the fifth straight game, a Wildcat season-high.
- Senior linebacker Brandon Archer tied a career-high with 11 tackles and established a career-high with five tackles-for-loss. Both are single-season team-highs.
- Archer is currently tied for third in the country with 47 tackles (Brion Stokes of Toledo) and is first in the Big 12. Archer's 15 tackles-for-loss are tied for fifth (Jarvis Moss of Florida) in the nation and second in the Big 12 (behind Michael Bennett of Texas A&M with 17).
- Sophomore defensive end Ian Campbell had a Wildcats' season-high three sacks. He is currently tied with Zach Diles and Adam Carriker of Nebraska for third in the Big 12 with five sacks.
- Senior placekicker Jeff Snodgrass kicked a 51-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. It was the third 50-yard-plus filed goal of his career.
- This was the fifth time in six games K-State has forced at least three turnovers. The loss to Louisville was the only game they did not.
