Terps Emasculate Boston College
Before the Maryland offense stepped on the field, they had a 14-0 lead. That was courtesy of two Darrius Heyward-Bey punt returns. That would prove to be all they would need. But the Terps would score more. A lot more. A 30-point 1st quarter ended the game before it started. Boston College finishes the year at 0-8 in the ACC and will finish out their regular season with a trip to #3 Oklahoma. Enjoy, Sooners.
Maryland can clinch a date with Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship Game with a win over #22 North Carolina State next week.
ACC Notes: 9 teams are bowl eligible (Maryland, Wake Forest, Florida St, Clemson, NC State, Va Tech, Miami, UNC, Ga Tech) and Virginia can get to the necessary 6th win by beating Florida Atlantic in their home finale.
