Desperation Hail Mary No Good; Spartans Lose 24-20
Whenever Penn State and Michigan State get together, expect a good game. Despite using their third string QB all game long, the Penn State Nittany Lions were able to defeat the Spartans for the second straight year, this time 24-20.
The Spartans had a minute and a half to try and win the game, but QB Connor Dixon wasn't able to march his team down the field in time. The drive was slow and methodical, something that the Spartans' didn't need. With two seconds left the Spartans were at Penn State's 47 yard line, and Dixon's hail mary pass was intercepted in the back of the endzone by a Penn State player.
HB A.J. Jimmerson ran for 101 yards and a score in the loss, while Dixon ended up 15 of 29 for 151 yards and a score.
With the loss the Spartans finished the Big Ten schedule 5-3 for the second straight year.
