Spartans Demolished by Wolverines 38-14

Two years ago the Spartans turned the ball over eight times in a 27-10 loss against Michigan. This year, the Spartans turned the ball over 7 times, as ROLB Cobrani Mixon wreaked havoc in the 38-14 victory.

Mixon had six tackles (four for loss), a sack, and three interceptions (one for a touchdown), deflected two passes, and forced a fumble in the most dominating performance we've seen from an opposing defender.

"His nickname should be Everywhere, because he seriously covered the entire field and we had no answer. If we ran the ball, he would hit Jimmerson in the backfield. If we were passing, he'd drop back two steps and make an over the shoulder interception. The guy is a monster," stated Dr. P.

Jimmerson ran 17 times for 43 yards, getting stopped in the backfield lots and lots of times. QB Connor Dixon ran with his head cut off, throwing four picks.

The score was actually 10-7 heading into the 4th quarter, and was a defensive struggle. The Wolverines defense broke the game open in the 4th, scoring twice in route to a 28 point quarter. What's sad is that the game should've been an even bigger blowout.

The Wolverines fumbled the ball at the one yard line with 20 seconds left in the half, and in the third quarter a pass in the endzone was intercepted by SS George Colbert. It was Colbert's 4th pick, and he later added his fifth sack.
