Spartans Sludge Past Tulsa 38-24

The #25 ranked Michigan State Spartans are playing dangerous ball as of late, letting lesser talented teams hang around for far too long. The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes got off to a 10-0 lead after the first, and cut the lead to 31-24 with just one minute to play, before an onside kick was recovered by the Spartans.

HB A.J. Jimmerson recorded three touchdowns for his third straight game, giving him seven rushing touchdowns and two recieving touchdowns on the year. He ran for 158 yards on 30 carries.

QB Conor Dixon ran for 50 yards, and added 8 of 13 passing for 154 yards and two scores. He executed a perfect play action that resulted in a wide open 47 yard touchdown to WR T.J. Williams in the third, putting the Spartans up 14 at 31-17.

Defensively, SS George Colbert added 9 tackles and recorded his third sack of the year, while MLB Andrew Hawken had 10 tackles and a sack. FS Dan Fortener picked off a pass for the second straight game.

The Spartans are now 3-0 as they prepare for their annual rivalry game against a loaded Notre Dame squad.
