We Own You Clausen
In the first year of the dynasty, QB Jimmy Clausen didn't play, and the Irish put up 41 points and a win. In the two years after that the golden boy has played, the Spartans have held the Irish to just two field goals, and Clausen has thrown 8 interceptions and 0 touchdowns.
Clausen threw 4 interceptions as his offense got shut out by the Spartans 30-0 today.
"Honestly, the games are boring when he's in there. I wanted to fall asleep, because Notre Dame clearly didn't want this game. They ran the ball when they were behind, and they were playing as if they were up by 30 points, not down 30," stated a bored Dr. P.
This game should have been extremely troubling for Michigan State, as HB A.J. Jimmerson was knocked out for the game on the second drive. He had just 5 carries for 7 yards.
The unranked Spartans (who actually dropped out of the rankings after last week) were led by QB Connor Dixon, who has been a huge surprise. Dixon ran for a touchdown, and threw two more in his 17/26, 204 yard performance. In four games he has 8 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
SS George Colbert got his first career interception, and was joined by FS Dan Fortener (3rd straight game with a pick), CB Ross Weaver, and OLB Roderick Jenrette.
