2024 Week 5

#1 Alabama (3-0) has an A- offense, an A defense, and is A overall. We are #1 in pts/gm, #49 in total offense, and #1 in total defense. #10 Arkansas (2-1) has a B offense, a B+ defense, and is B+ overall. They are #22 in pts/gm, #22 in total offense, and #13 in total defense. The Hogs have won the past two regular season games against us, but we won the National Championship against them in the Sugar Bowl at the end of last season. This is going to be a good one. Weather: Clear.

HB Will Moore gets us on the board first with a 10 yard TD run, 7-0 Bama. ARK K Denman chips in a 22 yard FG, 7-3.

ARK's Bryant scores on a 3 yard TD run and at halftime the Hogs lead 10-7.

FB Derrick Scott gets into the endzone from 2 yards out, 14-10 Bama with 4:09 left in the 3rd quarter. ARK K Denman hits a 30 yard FG to make it 14-13 Tide with 3:07 left in the quarter. KR Chris Coleman immediately returns the ensuing kickoff 101 yards for the score, 21-13. On Arkansas' next possession, LE Wayne Curry blows the ball carrier up in the back field causing a fumble, recovers it, and rumbles 40 yards for a huge TD, 28-13 with 1:18 left in the quarter.

ARK's Reid recovers a fumble and returns it 43 yards for the score. They go for two and get it when Bryant takes it into the endzone, 28-21 Tide with 4:43 left in the game. 2:30 later ARK K Denman hits a 50 yard FG to cut it to 28-24. On our next drive we go down the field and HB Will Moore goes right up the middle shoving a defender down and goes in standing up on a 10 yard TD run to seal it with :44 left in the game, 35-24.

This was another tough game against the Razorbacks. The kick return for TD immediately followed by the fumble return for a TD really helped our cause out tremendously. We finally get a win over the Hogs during the regular season for the first time since 2021.
