Double INT returns for TDs Spells Doom for Hogs
#1 Alabama (3-0) has an A offense, an A+ defense, and is A+ overall. We are #1 in pts/gm, #2 in total offense, and #1 in total defense. #9 Arkansas (3-0) has a B offense, an A defense, and is A overall. They are #34 in pts/gm, #25 in total offense, and #4 in total defense. Weather: Clear.
HB Jeremy Smith goes in from 17, 7-0 Bama. ARK QB Whitaker throws an 82 yard TD pass to Sanders, 7-7. HB Smith scores on an 8 yard TD run, 14-7 Tide. ARK QB Whitaker throwsa 63 yard TD pass to Ross, 14-14 after one.
QB Ricky Morris throws a 53 yard TD pass to WR Gabe Williams, 21-14. QB Morris throws a 26 yard TD pass to WR Gary Bishop, 28-14. SS Aaron Ferguson picks off an Arky pass and returns it 24 yards for the score, 35-14. Huge play!
CB Reggie White picks off another Arky pass and returns it 26 yards for the score, 42-14. HB Tyler Doby scores on a 10 yard TD run, 49-14. HB George Davis scores on a 5 yard TD run, 56-14.
ARK K Derman hits a 48 yard FG, 56-17. K Anthony James knocks one in from 28 yards, 59-17. FB Duane McClelland goes in from 16 to finish off the Hogs.
Arkansas held tough until late in the 2nd quarter when SS Aaron Ferguson returned an INT for a TD. After that it was all downhill for the Tide.
