2025 Week 2

We lost 15 players from last year's National Championship team. We lost 3/4s of our starting defensive line including DTs Mike Wallace and Andre Frederick as well as RE Mike White. Also gone is HB Will Moore and his 1,688 yards and 20 TDs. HB Robert Leach who was a big part of our return game and was going to be a sizeable portion of our running game transferred to Louisville. JR(RS) HB Tyler Doby will have to step up to fill that void. Doby had 1,033 yards and 14 rushing TDs last season. However, since we're starting a true freshman QB, he's really going to have to step it up and so is our defense.

#14 Maryland is B+ across the board. #1 Alabama has an A- offense, an A+ defense, and is A overall.

HB Tyler Doby scores on a 66 yard TD run, 7-0 Bama. QB Ricky Morris throws a 39 yard TD pass to WR Micah Green, 14-0.

HB Doby goes in from 5 yards out, 21-0. HB Jeremy Smith scores on a 21 yard TD run, 28-0. HB Doby busts a 50 yard TD run, 35-0.

QB Morris throws a 60 yard TD pass to HB Doby, 42-0. QB Morris throws a 9 yard TD pass to HB Smith, 49-0. HB Doby goes in from 28 yards, 56-0.

HB Smith busts an 87 yard TD run, 63-0. FB Dortch scores on a 44 yard TD run, 70-0.

Our running game killed the Terrapins. That 50 yard TD run by Tyler Doby just before halftime was possibly the greatest run I've ever seen. Maryland, in a 3-4 defense, blitzed a MLB and the ROLB. The MLB came through a gap in the middle and the ROLB came around the end. Both were in the backfield when Doby was handed the ball. He immediately spun right avoiding both defenders going through the hole the MLB just came through. He then juked by a secondary defender and outran the rest to the endzone. Amazing! I'm not sure the college football world is ready for this kid.
