Therefore, I think the runner up, HB Nick Brown, and the third place finisher, ROLB Jermaine Gay, will have something to say about it in this game. Weather: Clear.

QB Rob Sims goes deep for WR Ian Edmonds on a 73 yard TD pass, 7-0 Tide. VT Heisman winner Curtis goes up the middle running over several of our players and outrunning a few others on a 74 yard TD run, 7-7. HB Nick Brown says anything you can do, I can do better on his way to an 81 yard TD run on our ensuing possession, 14-7.

Early in the 2nd quarter the Hokies have to punt. CB Matt Smith blocks the punt and laterals at he's being tackled. SS Clint Clark scoops up the ball off the ground and goes 41 yards for the score. This definite game changer and great play makes it 21-7 Tide. On Va Tech's next possession, they have to punt again. CB Smith blocks it again, scoops it up, and goes in from 39 yards out, 28-7. QB Sims throws a 49 yard TD pass to HB Brown, 35-7. We had another opportunity to score before halftime, but QB Sims threw a pick at the goalline.

VT HB Curtis scores on a 4 yard TD run, 35-14. QB Sims drops back to pass on 4th and inches, but everyone is covered... except for Sims. He goes right, gets to the sideline, and scores on a 46 yard TD run, 42-14.

No scoring in the 4th quarter.

This victory gives us our 26th National Championship. That punt block and lateral was huge. It was definitely the game changing play in this one.
