2037 Week 13

#2 Alabama (11-0), yes... we dropped to #2, is A+ across the board. We are #1 in everything except pass offense (36th), rushing defense (3rd), and turnover differential (33rd). Auburn (6-4) has a C+ offense, a B- defense, and is B- overall. They are #38 in pts/gm, #25 in total offense, and #42 in total defense. Northwestern jumped to #1 after their 43-16 win over Ohio State at the Shoe. All I gotta say is the last time we played those guys we killed them. Weather: Clear with wind up to 11 mph.

HB Nick Brown, after an audible, cuts back to the right and outruns two Auburn defenders to the endzone for a 20 yard TD score, 7-0 Bama. K Dennis Larkins hits a 35 yard FG 3 plays after WR Joe Tyler had dropped a TD in the endzone, 10-0. HB Jonas Barnes scores on a 35 yard TD run, 17-0.

QB Jesse Russ throws a post route against an all out blitz by the Tigers and WR Ian Edmonds catches it and races 54 yards for the TD, 24-0. Aub K Holmes knocks in a 25 yard FG, 24-3. CB Clint Armstrong picks off an Aubie pass and races 50 to the endzone, 31-3. QB Russ throws a 49 yard TD pass to WR Edmonds, 38-3. Aub HB Dunn scores on a 50 yard TD run where our 3 CBs looked atrocious, 38-10. K Larkins missed a 56 yard FG as time expired in the first half.

Aub K Holmes hits a 32 yard FG after QB Russ fumbled the ball on a HB Screen, 38-13. QB Russ throws a 64 yard TD bomb pass to WR Tyler, 45-13. Aub QB Mitchell throws a 7 yard TD pass to Weiss, 45-20. CB Mike Manning blocks an Aubie punt and SS Demarcus Amadi scoops it up and trots 44 yards for the TD, 52-20. HB Andrew Fuller scores on an 85 yard TD run, 59-20.

HB Chris Morris scores on a 62 yard TD run, 66-20. HB Morris runs it in from 33 yards out, 73-20. HB Morris gets the trifecta with a 53 yard TD run, 80-20.

Auburn kind of hung around for awhile. I was surprised they didn't go for two on either of their TDs to get within 3 scores. We've also got to do a better job of hanging on to the ball. QB Jesse Russ threw a pick in scoring position and fumbled on a HB Screen pass. In injury news TE Christian Wheeler will be out 2 weeks. Luckily, TE Neal Smith will return before the SEC Championship game and Wheeler might too.
