#1 Alabama (4-0) is A+ across the board. We are #1 in pts/gm, total offense, and total defense. Connecticut (0-4) has a C offense, a C+ defense, and is C+ overall. They are #115 in pts/gm, #89 in total offense, and #35 in total defense. Looking at this game on paper, if the Huskies won this game it would be the greatest upset in college football... EVER!!! Weather: Clear with wind up to 29 mph.

PR Matt Smith returns a punt 57 yards for the score, 7-0 Bama. QB Jesse Russ throws a swing pass to HB Nick Brown and he takes 70 yards for the score, 14-0. FB Tim Cox plunges in from a yard out, 21-0. QB Russ throws a screen pass to WR Marcus Babineaux and with good blocking he takes it 10 yards into the endzone, 28-0. PR Smith does it again and this 75 punt return for a TD makes it 35-0.

HB Jonas Barnes scores on an 8 yard TD run, 42-0. QB Russ throws a 50 yard TD pass to WR Lance Carter, 49-0. HB Andrew Fuller scores around the right side on a 16 yard TD run, 56-0.

PR Barnes returns a punt 77 yards for the score, 63-0. FB Jeremy Fulmore goes through the line and doesn't stop until he's gone 29 yards for a TD, 70-0. HB Chris Morris takes a handoff and goes untouched 81 yards for a TD, 77-0. PR Barnes returns his second punt of the day for a TD, 84-0.

We threw a pick in the redzone on our first possession. Shortly thereafter we figured out the Huskies liked to play man coverage on first down. We took advantage of this and the rest was all downhill.
