WE GOIN' TO THE 'SHIP!!!

In what was "the most important game to date for BU", the Bears knocked off the defending Big 12 Champion Sooners and earned their 1st ever trip to the Big 12 Title Game for a likely rematch against the only team that has beaten them this season, Nebraska. The only thing the players were saying after the game was a line from a horrible Keanu Reeves movies, quoting the young G-Baby "We Goin' to the 'Ship!"
A Gatorate & Champagne soaked Coach Juggs put the win over Oklahoma ahead of last year's bowl victory & the upset of then, #2 Texas, as the biggest win in team history, but put an asterix at the end, saying that there are 2 more big ones to go. A win over the Huskers would earn Baylor a trip to the Fiesta Bowl, a BCS bowl berth for the little team from Waco. Not bad for a team predicted to finish 10th in the Big 12 this year.
How did they do it? Much the way they knocked off Georgia in last year's Independence Bowl. The defense played superb when they were on the field. And thanks to the future Heisman candidate, QB Guy Wright, the offense was excuted to perfection. Playing a ball control, time consuming game, Baylor ate up the clock while moving the chains both on the ground and with short accurate passing. Wright has become a surgeron in this offense, and has a legit shot at both the college HOF and as going down as one of the best College QBs of all time. Coming into the game, Oklahoma QB Joey Halzle was the Heisman favorite, but after it, the sports writers were throwing around Wright's name just as frequently when speaking about College Football's most cherished award. And the superstar Sophmore has his team on the brink of going where no Baylor team has ever dreamed of going, the Big 12 Title game and a possible BCS Bowl trip.
