Jonesboro, AR - The Dillon Tech Tigers extended their winning streak to 9 games as they closed out conference play with a 45-24 victory over Arkansas State. Matt Saracen threw for over 400 yards and 5 scores to lead the Tigers to the victory.

Arkansas State opened the scoring with field goal on their first possession. The Tigers answered back with a 22 yard touchdown reception by Jared Howell. After that, Arkansas State responded with touchdowns on their next two possessions to give the Red Wolves a 17-7 lead. However, the Tigers responded with a 28 yard touchdown reception from tight end Adam Lewis and then a 25 yard touchdown pass from Saracen to Dan Edmonds with only 17 seconds left in the half to give the Tigers a 21-17 lead at half time.

In the third quarter, the Tigers got a 25 yard field goal from Freddie Tucker to give them a 24-17 lead. On the Tigers next possession, quarterback Matt Saracen was intercepted by safety Mo Robinson who returned the pass for a 78 yard touchdown to tie the score at 24. That was all the points the Red Wolves would manage to produce as the Tigers defense stepped up in the second half and allowed the offense to score three more touchdowns to give the Tigers a 45-24 victory.
