IT WAS A DONE DEAL WHEN...
HB Melvin Hawkins broke a 65 yard TD run to give us an amazing 35-21 lead in the 1st quarter. We scored one more time before the quarter ended, but that was the one that seemed to break their backs. They never really competed for the rest of the game.
GAME BALLS
CB Nick Stanley got 3 of our incredible TEN INTERCEPTIONS. And his all came early, back before Bowling Green really went off the rails. ... TE Curtis Stanley went over 100 yards receiving, mainly thanks to some hook-ups with backup QB Matt Schifano, who came in pretty early once the game was out of hand (no need to risk brittle starter John Powell).
KEY STATISTICS
We forced 11 turnovers. Intercepted their starting QB 4 times, and then picked off his backup 6 times after the top guy got the hook. It was insane.
