IT WAS A DONE DEAL WHEN...
TE Curtis Stanley recovered the onside kick with only 1:46 left in the 4th quarter following Yale's final TD. The kick recovery pretty much iced the game for us.

GAME BALLS
True freshman backup QB Matt Schifano had to step in when John Powell left with an injury. Schifano threw for 300+ yards, 5 touchdowns, and only 1 interception. ... Cornerbacks Cole Perez and Nick Stanley each recorded 2 interceptions, putting a crimp in the style of Yale's star QB Brandon Owen.

KEY STATISTICS
As close as this game was, it turned out to be crucial that we wont the time of possession battle (with 20:35 minutes on offense) and the turnover battle (4 takeaways compared to 3 turnovers).

NOTES
We're now 2-4 against Yale, snapping a four game losing streak. ... Matt Schifano joins D.J. McPhearson as the only QB to throw for 5 TDs in a single game. McPhearson threw 5 against Columbia in 2008 and 6 against Penn in 2010. ... TE Curtis Stanley's 3 touchdown catches set a new single-game record for the school.
