IT WAS A DONE DEAL WHEN...
FS Roger Noble intercepted a pass inside the twenty to keep Brown from going up by ten points early in the 4th, and the offense came right out and zipped down the field to take the lead. The defense held firm and Brown never came close to getting the lead back.
GAME BALLS
HB Melvin Hawkins continues to play great ball for us, picking up 240 yards and 2 touchdowns on only 20 carries. This kid is something special. ... QB John Powell also came up big despite our leaning away from the pass for most of the day. He threw two touchdowns in the final quarter of play, leading the comeback effort. ... Nick Stanley and Roger Noble each picked off passes in the redzone, robbing Brown of valuable points.
