HB Maurice Mitchell takes an option pitch in from 4 yards out, 21-10. LOLB Marcus Bailey strips the QB and ROLB Pedro "Michael" Myers picks the ball up, breaks a tackle, and is gone 57 yards for the TD, 21-17. A pick by CB Kenny Charles results in a turnover right back to Colorado State. A few plays later and CSU QB Johnson finds WR Horne on a corner pattern and he races 77 yards for a TD after eluding the defender. 28-17. Ughh!!!

A 6 yard TD run by HB Mitchell cuts the score to 28-23 after WR Justin Bullocks drops the conversion with 4:04 left in the game. The defense holds and forces a punt that is returned 60 yards for a TD by PR Mitchell. The two point conversion from QB Kevin Gaddis to WR Bullocks to put us up 31-28 with 3:21 left. The defense forces a pick by CB Charles, but the offense can only muster a 39 yard FG by K Botts, 34-28 with 1:37 left. The defense forces a turnover on downs. With just a few seconds left in the game and the Headbangers trying to melt the clock, QB Jason Schroeder tosses to HB Mitchell and he outruns two Ram defenders to the corner and he's gone 42 yards for a TD as time expires.

WHEW!!! This one was way too close for comfort. The up to 30 mph wind didn't help much either.
