#3 Iowa gets their rematch in the Rose Bowl over #2 Texas A&M by .007. Iowa (9-2) is A+ across the board. They are #3 in pts/gm, #5 in total offense, and #39 in total defense. We are #1 in pts/gm, #36 in total offense, and #1 in total defense. In the game earlier this year it took a FG in OT to beat the Hawkeyes.

After starting from our own 4 yard line, on 2nd and 6 QB Schroeder drops back and goes deep to WR Lance Henderson. Henderson makes the grab and outruns the Hawkeye defense for a 90 yard TD completion, 7-0 Metal. On the next Heavy Metal drive, QB Jason Schroeder is knocked out of the game with a severe concussion and is out for the season. QB Kevin Gaddis comes in and leads us to a 39 yard FG by K Donte Botts, 10-0. Iowa QB#10 throws a pass to TE#80. He breaks a tackle by CB Kenny Charles and he's gone for a 76 yard TD. 10-7.

QB Gaddis throws an 80 yard TD pass to WR Henderson and it's 17-7. FB Joel Gordon goes in from 2 yards out and it's 24-7. QB Gaddis scores on a 1 yard QB draw, 31-7.

HB Maurice Mitchell scores on a 3 yard TD run and it's 38-7.

HB Mitchell scores on a 69 yard beautiful TD run, 45-7. K Botts kicks a 40 yard FG, 48-7.

What a game! After Iowa knocks out QB Jason Schroeder, they kind of don't play as hard as they were. QB Kevin Gaddis played his best game of the season. This gives us our National Championship.
