2009 Week 15

In week 13 #2 LSU lost to Ole Miss 36-39 and #3 Texas Tech lost to Oklahoma 28-42. That makes us the #2 team in the nation and a win over the Trojans puts us in the title game. #21 USC has an A offense, a B+ defense, and is A overall, but they're coming off a loss to UCLA. They are #3 in pts/gm, #1 in total offense, and #32 in total defense. We are #1 in pts/gm, #31 in total offense, and #1 in total defense.

HB Maurice Mitchell scores on a 10 yard TD run, 7-0 Metal!

K Donte Botts kicks a 29 yard Fg and the Bangers lead 10-0. QB Kevin Gaddis scores on an option run and it's 17-0. PR Mitchell fumbles and the Trojans cash it in on a 7 yard TD pass from USC QB#6 to WR East, 17-7.

USC K Alexander kicks a 24 yard FG to cut the lead to 7.

USC CB#7 picks a pass by QB Schroeder and returns it 62 yards for the score with 2:00 remaining. QB Schroeder drives the team down the field and HB Mitchell scores from 2 yards out with :09 left in the game. LOLB Marcus Bailey sacks the SC QB to end this one. Whew!

QB Jason Schroeder had a great first half, but he cooled off in the second as the offensive line imploded and he was constantly running for his life. Up next is probably the Florida State Seminoles.
