Metal escapes versus the Rebs

UNLV has a C offense, a C+ defense, and is C+ overall. They are #67 in pts/gm, #97 in total offense, and #79 in total defense. We are #9 in pts/gm, #8 in total offense, and #1 in total defense.

UNLV ROLB Allen picks a pass and returns it 90 yards for a TD, 7-0 Rebs. FB Joel Gordon plunges in from 2 yards out, 7-7.

K Donte Botts boots a 21 yard FG on 4th and 1, 10-7 Metal. UNLV QB McMillan goes long to WR Robinson for a 73 yard TD, 14-10. UNLV CB Ashley picks a pass and returns it 67 yards for a TD, 21-10.

QB Kevin Gaddis runs it in from 3 yards out, but the 2 points conversion fails, 21-16 Rebs. PR Maurice Mitchell returns a punt a 59 yards for a TD. The two point conversion by QB Gaddis is good and the Headbangers lead 24-21. QB Gaddis hits WR Patrick Adams for a 13 yard TD pass, 31-21. LOLB Marcus Bailey picks a pass and returns it 31 yards for a TD, 38-21.

QB Gaddis finds WR Justin Bullocks on a 12 yard TD pass, 45-21.

This was a horrible game in many aspects. There were 7 dropped passes in the first half along with 3 picks. The WR core wasn't doing much of anything either. There were another 4 dropped passes in the second half for a total of 11. MLB Cole Edwards had two 15 yard face mask penalties and a running into the kicker penalty on a punt. After Edwards was benched, the defense came out with a fire they hadn't played with all game led by ROLB Pedro "Michael" Myers.
