#5 Wisconsin Smacks Michigan State 37-14
If you wanted to watch a beatdown Saturday night, instead of a UFC match you could've turned on the Wisconsin Badgers (4-0) and Michigan State Spartans (3-1) game. The Badgers destroyed the Spartans 37-14, teaching them lessons about discipline and fundamentals.
HB P.J. Hill showed the Spartans why he's a Heisman hopeful, as he rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown, and breaking every tackle known to man.
"The tackling was flat out bad. Hill would get a carry up the middle for two yards, and next thing I know he's rolling down the field for 12. We need to learn how to wrap these guys up." spoke Dr. P.
QB Tyler Donovan also taught QB Brian Hoyer how to pass in a Big Ten game. Donovan went 17 of 19 with two touchdowns, while Hoyer threw 15 of 25 for one touchdown and three interceptions. Both of Donovan's touchdowns went to WR Paul Hubbard.
The Spartans were able to jump out to a 7-3 lead, but then watched Wisconsin take over the game and refuse to let the Spartans offense score again. Their last touchdown came on a fumble return by defensive end Ervin Baldwin. HB Javon Ringer was held to just 21 yards on 11 carries, and coupled with the seven sacks allowed, the Spartans finished in the red on the ground.
