Wildcats blow 20-0 lead, lose on TD in final minute

And everything was going so well.

Andrew Brewer had settled down into his starting job; the Wildcats had just clobbered a Big Ten opponent; and they were up 20-0 against the lowly Eastern Michigan Eagles at the halfway mark.

Oh, how quickly things can change.

After falling down 20-0 to the Wildcats, the Eagles of Eastern Michigan stormed back with 21 unanswered points in the second half, the final 7 of which came on a 6 yard TD pass with only :32 remaining in the game.

Brewer's 2 interceptions was not the downfall of the Wildcats this game, as he threw one early, and then one in the final seconds on a hail mary play. It was Brandon Roberson's 2 fumbles that cost the Wildcats precious points as they were driving in Eagle territory.

"We had this game in the bag. We just didn't play good close-out football. This game was a tale of two halves, and we just happened to be a part of the first, not as good, half."

Deante Battle, who had 6 tackles, 1 pass deflection, and 2 interceptions, was named the player of the game.
