Deja Vu
Another football game against a school located in Indiana. Another blowout victory for the Northwestern Wildcats.
This week, instead of beating up on 1-win Purdue, the Wildcats defeated the 3-win Indiana Hoosiers 42-18. Behind the scorching Wildcats offense, led by Jamaal Richardson's passing and the tag-team of Stephen Simmons and Erik Humphrey on the ground, the Hoosiers defense had no chance of stopping the Wildcats - forcing no punts on the afternoon.
Jamaal Richardson did throw 4 Interceptions, however, to go with his 3 Touchdowns. Over the last 2 games, Richardson has 7 Touchdowns to go along with 4 Interceptions, making his ratio of TD:INT's favoring the positive side.
Stephen Simmons finally had a positive game, gaining over 100 yards on the ground, with 1 Touchdown, as well as 17 receiving yards. Humphrey, who came in for short-yardage situations and to change from "Lightning" to "Thunder" and catch the defense off guard, had 51 yards on 8 carries, with 1 Touchdown as well.
Jordan Mabin recorded a Pick-6 for the second straight week, as the Northwestern Defense intercepted Teddy Schell 4 times.
The Wildcats now prepare for the #9 ranked Iowa Hawkeye's who just suffered their first loss this week to the Wisconsin Badgers.
