Spiders Handle Utes
It was immediately apparent when the teams lined up that Utah would be no match for Richmond today. Without chief troublemaker Darius Garcia under center, the Ute attack was quite tame. Richmond, on the other hand, was led by senior running back Jeffrey Rich, who exploded for 30 yards off tackle on the first play from scrimmage. Rich would go on to dominate the game.
On the other side of the line of scrimmage Tholio Nokkums had 2 interceptions, returning one for a TD, in his biggest day in Spider Blue.
