Richmond Makes a Statement
The #2 ranked Richmond Spiders, scorned of a berth in the national championship game, came out and walloped the Cincinnati Bearcats from start to finish. Buck Roberts was sensational, throwing for over 400 yards and 3 Tds as the Spiders completely outclassed the Big East champ Bearcats.
Defensively, Bream Hickman was everywhere for the Spiders. The one man wrecking crew annihilated the Bearcat offense in every way imaginable.
