Early in the game, with Richmond leading 17-6, UCF driving, linebacker Marcell Jordan picked off a pass at his own 4 yard line, killing Golden Knight hopes. UCF seemed to give up at that point. Their chief offensive threat, scrambling QB Adams, was contained most of the game by LE J. J. Hurst.
