Cakewalk for Spiders in Second Half
A close game early became a cakewalk for Richmond. Interim Coach Bud Jones went with backup quarterbacks after the first quarter. It appears that Buck Roberts' Heisman race was done in early when he threw an interception to a covered receiver, then had 3 incompletions in a row. Roberts led the Heisman race early in the season until injury and suspension sidelined his top two receiving threats Random Jones and Trevor Raddick.
Still, Roberts has led Richmond through an undefeated season and BCS bowl contention. Spider supporters await news on the rest of the day as their #3 'Ders are on the bubble of the MNC game.
