Aggies win over Rival Utes Proves Costly

The Aggies of Utah State won their 3rd straight game as they beat the Utah Utes 44-31. The win was costly though as they lost starting cornerback Jason Taylor to a broken wrist. He is expected to miss about 8 weeks.

McGriffle said on Taylor injury "Our entire secondary is gonna need to step their game up if we are gonna get through this. Taylor was an outstanding cornerback for us and he will be greatly missed."

The Aggies ran wild over the running amassing 141 yards of 27 carries. The Aggies had a 35-21 half time lead and never let it slip and they improved their record to 3-1 with a win over Rival Utah.

With the win Utah State has secured the Beehive boot. This trophy is given to the best team in the state of Utah. Since USU has beaten both BYU and Utah they get the trophy and a years worth of bragging rights. These 3 teams will clash over the next year in a different way, battling over the state of Utah's high school Seniors. We will have to see how this pans out.
