2007 Week 3

Wow, 149 total points and 1,262 yards are total offense one might ask where is the defense. Truth be told none showed up until the last drive of the game.

At the beginning of the 4th quarter Utah State trailed 59-48. This is when the comeback occured. Just one minute into the 4th quarter Forbes plunged in from 3 yards out but the 2 point conversion failed bring the score to 59-54. BYU answered right back with a 20 yard run of their own to extend the lead to 66-54. L. Jackson to W. Fausel made the game 66-61 with over 3 minutes left in the game. The insuing onside kick failed and BYU scored again to make is 73-61. Following a great return by Forbes, Jackson found P. Robinson on a corner route for a 28 yard TD making the game 73-68 BYU. The insuing onside kick was unsucessful.

The defense needed a big 3 and out. And that what they got as the stuffed BYU on 3 consectutive running plays calling timeouts after each run to preserve time. With 9 seconds to go Jackson found Robinson again streaking down the sidelines for the go ahead touchdown as the Utah State Aggies won their first game of the year against rival BYU.
