2006 Week 2

Coach Casey released the following statement after today's game, he was not available for campus radio interview...

Today's game against Duke was abysmol. First off, I was completely baffled by RB #20 for Duke. His running was unstoppable, why hadn't I heard of him before. He was a galloping ghost in every sense of the word. White running backs can't do that.

Our offense was completely stagnant all game, 2 hail mary passes was the key to our offense. And going for 2 in the 4th, don't complain about that to me, media... do you really think this team could win a game out in overtime, even against Duke?! Going for 2 was the appropriate call.

Micah Andrews, or Running Back #3 as I'll refer to him from now on, is a complete joke. 10 carries for 9 yards, really? That's an impact player?! Hell, I should give the job to Alphonso, he's the only playing football on this team.

In other news, I'm seriously considering firing our defensive coordinator... who runs a 3-3-5?! We have defensive tackles not getting adequate playing time, who deserve to play over our craptastic secondary.

Also, I thought the crowd was a real factor in the game today. Home field is so important in any sport, especially college football-and our stadium was rocking today. I'd like to thank the 5 fans who attended that were able to produce 20 decibels of sound, it was the 12th man today, that kept the game close against Duke.

It's going to be a long season. I see us going on the road to Connecticut this week, visiting the ESPN headquarters and possibly hooking up with Erin Andrews on Thursday night, don't tell my wife.
