Wyoming Rolls Again

Tom Merriman has made plays since he stepped foot onto the campus at Laramie two years ago. He made yet another to add to his highlight reel on Saturday. With the score tied at 7 and Colorado driving, Merriman stepped in front of a swing pass to the halfback and darted 20 yards to the endzone to give Wyoming the lead and all the momentum. On the ensuing drive, Merriman, on a blitz, hit the quarterback from behind forcing a fumble which he then pounced on giving the Cowboys the ball and another large momentum boost. The offense then proceeded to march on their longest drive of the season - a little over 9 minutes later, Darius Terry marched untouched into the endzone from 6 yards out to put the score at 21-7 Wyoming.

Antonio Rossner threw for 2 touchdowns in the game and continues his growth as a freshman signal caller. Terry added 178 yards on the ground, and TE Calvin fisher lead the Pokes in receiving with 50 yards on 4 catches. While the defense had their toughest test of the season so far, the offense was able to step up and account for the defense's mistakes. This is a promising sight for all Cowboys fans.
