Pokes score early, often

Wyoming scored 21 first quarter points and 35 in the second to jump out to a 56-0 lead at the half over rival Colorado State.

Antonio Rossner lead a Wyoming offense that totaled 403 yards, 232 of those through the air, and accounted for 4 touchdowns (3 pass, 1 rush), and Jared Killpack led the Wyoming defense, which held CSU to 110 yards of offense and 3 yards on the ground, by intercepting 2 passes and returning them both for scores.

The Wyoming defense, which has started the season with three straight shutouts, did not disappoint Saturday adding a fourth consecutive shutout to their resume. Known for not allowing opponents to score, the defense decided they wanted in on some of the scoring action and scored 4 touchdowns of their own on the day. of the 8 turnovers committed by CSU, 7 were interceptions and 4 of those interceptions were taken all the way back for touchdowns. Jared Killpack had 2 interceptions, David Nichols had 2 and one touchdown, LB James Rice had 1 which he returned for a touchdown, and Chris Prosinski and Tom Merriman each had one interception.

NOTEWORTHY:
HB Darius Terry eclipsed the 100 yard mark for the 3rd time this season totaling 101 yards and a score; FR WR Mike Archer hauled in the first touchdown of his career, a 53 yard strike from Rossner on the first drive of the game; FR LT Roosevelt Riley, the massive tackle who many believe will become one of the best offensive lineman to ever play the college game, played extremely well on the line and is becoming the vocal leader of the unit.
