Nothing quite like a rivalry game.

There are words. Words which are unprintable in most magazines and newspapers. Those words, would be perfect in explaining this game. I try not to use such words. So, I will keep from doing so here.

We started off ok. Moving the ball and such. Furman was able to get some yards as well, nothing major. We were able to get a FG towards the end of the first quarter.
Furman, the sleeping giant, then decided to wake up. They ran on us, passed on us, it was...I can't even think of the words to describe it. They scored, we got the ball back. On thrid and ten Max McGraw, back from suspension, stepped into the pocket and right as he was about to throw was hammered by Jeremy Blocker, causing him and Blocker to slam to the turf while the ball just stayed in the same spot spinning, until DT Wesley Bray caught it, hurdled Max, and trotted 10 yards for the TD. There really is no more to talk about, after that the "wheels fell off" so to speak as we stood no chance of coming back(stupid mo). Turnovers are what really cost us(4 to 0). Oh well, we get a bye week to mull over the 0-1 conference start, then we face mighty San Jose State.
