Still looking for that first conference victory

Corso and Herbsteit both picked Tulsa to win in a close game. We feel that is good enough for us to pull the upset. We were right. We started off pounding the ball right at them(Max had a horrible day(only three completions [wow]) so we had to live and die with the run). Chris Covington was able to break away early on a 65 yard TD run giving us momentum. The Golden Hurricanes went three and out giving us the ball right back. We too it to the endzone again on a 5 yard run by Covington. We were able to make them go three and out yet again. Only this time Jayson Foster did the scoring, taking the punt return 67 yards for yet another TD. Tulsa added a field goal on their next drive, but we added a 40 yard TD pass from Max to Chris Thomas.
The next half they tired to come back and make a game of this but, we were just too far ahead. We finally got our first conference win, on national television no less. We seem to be doing really well now. One more victory gets us bowl eligible. Marshall is up next.
