Homecoming

Well we had a packed house for homecoming. We were playing Appy State, the only 1-AA team we will ever play in this dynasty. We started off the game on a tear and never looked back. This report will be short due to the severity of the beating. I am happy to say several Seniors played. Including Marquice Maynard, who touched the ball for the first time all year in the forth quarter. He was able to break the last play of the game(an iso) 76 yards for a score. The entire team was happy that his last play in his last homecoming could end like that. Reggie McCutchen had a great day leading the team in catches, yards, and TD receptions. Lamar Lewis caught the first score of the day. He was happy getting to score in his last homecoming as well. Back-up MLB Devron Jefferson, was suspended for 5 games for violating team rules. His replacement, never used 5th string CB J.T. Nash had a monster day. He lead the team in tackles and was all over the field. He had more tackles today(7) than Devron had all year(4). Max McGraw completed his first 6 passes. Giving him a consecutive completions streak of 13 dating back to last game. Chris Covington also had a great day finishing with 214 rushing yards and 4 TDs. All in all we had a wonderful homecoming. Next week we play Tulsa at home in a Nationally Televised game. The entire town of Statesboro is very excited.
