IT WAS A DONE DEAL WHEN
LB Richard Longshore blew up on Cincinnati's offense. In the first quarter alone, he had 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery, and a defensive TD. He finished with 4 sacks on the day, but his huge 1st quarter gave us a great start out of the gate on the way to an eventual blowout.

GAME BALLS
Richard Longshore, of course, gets a game ball. ... WR Karl Bush caught 3 balls for 83 yards, including a beautiful long touchdown grab in the endzone.

KEY STATISTICS
Here's an interesting nugget: we went 0 for 7 on third downs, and we had 10 penalties against us for 102 yards. And we still blew the doors off of Cincinnati. Imagine how much worse it could've been if we'd converted on 3rd down and eliminated some of the penalties.

NOTES
We finish with our best regular season record ever, 10-2. ... P Blake Landry, thanks to gusting winds, recorded his first ever touchback on a kickoff. It's the first time I've had a kicker get a touchback in my 5 years coaching here at Harvard. ... With Penn beating Dartmouth this week, it means we won't win the conference this year. So we won't be heading to Detroit for the Motor City Bowl to face the champion of the MAC conference.
