Legionnaire's Harvard Crimson

2011 Week 11

On The Schedule: Princeton L 37-10

All Quiet in Week 11

Weekly Report Posted: May 10, 2024 21:53

No news has been reported this week.

IT WAS A DONE DEAL WHEN
Princeton hurried down the field to score a touchdown on their first drive to kick off the second half. They led 21-3 at the half, and we needed to get off to a good start in the 3rd quarter to stay in the game. And we didn't.

GAME BALLS
QB Collier Winters was forced into action after D.J. McPhearson was injured and QB Tony Williams got benched for being too loose with the ball. Winters was solid, going 5/7 for 50 yards, although he did throw 1 interception.

KEY STATISTICS
We didn't score a single offensive touchdown this game. In a game where our opponent hung 37 on the board, that's not a good time to stay out of the endzone on offense.

NOTES
Our loss, combined with Brown's win over Dartmouth, knocks us out of 1st place in the conference. Penn also now has a better record, dropping us to 3rd in the conference. After our great 8-0 start, we've lost two games in a row and we're suddenly looking at a scenario where we could lose our conference. Not good. ... WR/QB D.J. McPhearson left with a torn hamstring. He'll probably miss the rest of the year, including any bowl games.
