2011 Week 2

IT WAS A DONE DEAL WHEN
My third string QB (moved up to 2nd string with Tony Williams suspended) got pressed into duty thanks to an injury to John Powell on our game-winning drive. He promptly completed a 50 yard strike to HB Aaron Baker on a wheel route, setting up the field goal to take the lead.

GAME BALLS
Junior OLB Greg Walker was a force. 3 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and his first career interception. He's come a long way from the DE he was when I initially recruited him years ago. ... HB Aaron Baker continues to make plays out of the backfield. He seems to be taking to his new role since moving from WR to HB. He broke a 42 yard TD run, and he caught a 50 yard pass on our final drive.

KEY STATISTICS
We forced Toledo's QB Travaris Cadet to throw 4 interceptions. This ended up being crucial.

NOTES
QB John Powell left the game on the final drive with a torn shoulder muscle. He'll be out for about 12 weeks, possibly coming back in time for the final regular season game. ...
