IT WAS A DONE DEAL WHEN
Marshall WR Darius Passmore blew up for 3 TDs in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. Before his breakout, the score was tied 7-7 and we had the momentum.
GAME BALLS
Freshman WR Chris Jenkins caught 5 balls for 75 yards. And another freshman WR KArl Bush caught 3 balls for 67 yards, including a highlight reel TD on the sideline. These guys stepped up once Aaron Baker left the game with an injury.
KEY STATISTICS
Marshall QB Wesley Beardain carved up our secondary with 293 yards, 4 TDs and no interceptions.
NOTES
Starting QB D.J. McPhearson is lost for the season with a broken wrist. ... Backup QB Tony Williams missed this game as he served a 1-week suspension.
