IT WAS A DONE DEAL WHEN
I made a wrong call on the final play of the game. They were loading up inside and knocking my RB's around, making me fear a fumble. So on the final play, I thought I would outsmart them by calling a pass. I didn't even want to complete the pass. I just wanted to drop back, kill a few seconds, and then heave the ball through the back of the endzone to end the game. But my QB got hit as he went to throw. The ball fluttered like a wounded bird, and the defense intercepted it at the goalline and ran it back for a miracle TD as time expired. It was just a stupid call on my part.

GAME BALLs
Freshman TE Curtis Stanley gets a game ball for catching his 7th TD pass of the year, which is now our new record. Not too shabby for the true freshman who was a 2-star blocking TE coming out of Vermont. ... SS Antwain Young recorded a safety. As close as the game ended up being, those two points were pretty crucial. ... LB Leon Neal rang up another double-digit tackle performance. He's not as big or fast as my other ILB, Chris McCargo, but Neal sure seems to always be around the ball.

KEY STATISTICS
Princeton got penalized an eye-popping 8 times for 85 yards. That would've been the key to our victory if not for their miracle interception return to snatch victory away from us. But it's still an interesting stat. Their coach was yelling at the refs all day long. And I turned down a handful of penalties, too. ... I went into the redzone three times and only scored once. We need to get better in that department. An extra TD or FG would've been useful.

NOTES
ILB Leon Neal, who missed a couple games with an injury earlier in the year, finally took back the team lead in tackles from our other ILB, Chris McCargo. ... HB Michael Clarke cracked the 1000 yard mark for the first time in his career.
