IT WAS A DONE DEAL WHEN
They followed our TD with another scoring drive. And then capped the 2nd quarter with another FG. They were a much more talented team but when the score was tied 10-10, our team seemed to be ready to pull off the upset. When they bounced back and kept going ahead of us, it broke our spirit. We hung tough, but didn't really challenge them again the way we had in the 1st quarter.

GAME BALLS
Freshman LB Greg Walker recorded his third 2-sack game of the season. He has 10 sacks to finish an impressive first season. ... CB Mike Blair had 3 passes defended, as our defense did a nice job of containing a much more talented offense.

KEY STATISTICS
We allowed 7 sacks. ... We fumbled 4 times, losing 3 of them. ... Our leading rusher was our backup QB, Tony Williams, who didn't even come into the game until Collier Winters got hurt late in the third quarter. We spent most of the 4th quarter trying to run an option offense, desperate to find some kind of offensive production that wouldn't be hindered by their vicious pass rush.

NOTES
Collier Winter's 223 passing yards were good enough to slide him up and make him our leading passer this season. ... ILB Leon Neal, despite missing 2 games with an injury, managed to record 70 tackles for the second straight season.
