IT WAS A DONE DEAL WHEN
Brown failed to convert on 4th and 1 with about two and a half minutes left. The score was Brown 9, Harvard 16. A touchdown on the drive would've tied the game and swung the momentum. Instead, their QB got tackled before he could even manage to hand off the ball to the waiting RB. With the short field after the turnover on downs, we were set up for an easy drive toward a FG. And since Brown ultimately scored one more TD, that FG ended up making the difference. That 4th and 1 was huge.

GAME BALLS
Freshman LB Richard Longshore notched 3 sacks. ... HB Michael Clarke picked up 120 yards. ... WR Alex Math broke out with a crucial 57 yard TD catch.

KEY STATISTICS
In such a close game, any differential in stats can account for the margin between loss and victory. Considering our QB threw 4 interceptions, what did we do to make up for our mistakes? Well, we had 1 first downs compared to 4 for them. We held them to 29 rushing yards. We sacked them 5 times and didn't allow them to sack our guy once.

NOTES
Freshman TE Curtis Stanley moved up to 2nd place on our single-season list with his 5th TD catch of the year. ... Our 3-4 defense is coming together now with our two freshman outside linebackers, Longshore and Walker, providing a pass rush. They've combined for 12 sacks so far this season (6 apiece).
